In this role, she serves as an advisor to CEOs and Boards on a range of team building and talent advisory work. She has served transformational companies, investors and entrepreneurs on four continents. Her clients have ranged from the Boards and CEOs of Fortune 50 companies to disruptive entrepreneurs who are transforming the sectors they serve. Simmi is also a leader in the public policy realm, recently having completed (in 2012) a secondment as Senior Advisor, Health Innovation to the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Her roles have included building and leading a $150MM+ business segment as a member of the senior leadership team of a public company, advising Fortune 50 CEOs and Boards on leadership development and team building, commercial and business leadership for a successful high-growth technology start-up and and turn-around and M&A advisory for a multi-billion dollar underperforming business.

Earlier in her career, she held leadership and management consulting roles at the global consulting firms of Booz Allen & Hamilton and Ernst & Young, LLP. Her areas of expertise include the design, development and launch of new companies, products and services, marketing and brand transformation, performance optimization and business turnarounds and acquisitions – in addition to IT strategy, design and governance.
Simmi is a current and former member of several leading industry Boards of Directors, including Director on the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society Board, Director and Chair of the former Center for Health Information Management Board and the TEDMED Advisory Board (present) and the Case Western Reserve University Provost’s International Visiting Committee (present). She has served as a guest lecturer at the Yale School of Management’s Executive MBA Program and is also a sought-after contributor to national industry events and frequently featured in the trade press.
Her speaking engagements have included talks at such forums as the Business Week CIO Summits, the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, Consumer Health World, the National Conference of State Legislatures, Rock Health and the CMS Care Innovations Summit, where she served as creator and Co-Chair. Her contributions to the trade press have been featured in the Journal of Healthcare Information Management, Advance for Healthcare Information Executives, CIO magazine, Health Management Technology, Health Data Management, Modern Healthcare, Managed Healthcare Executive and the American Banking Association’s Trustee periodical, among others.
Simmi graduated with distinction with an MBA in Management Information-Decision Systems from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management and holds a B.Sc. with a triple major in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from St. Joseph's College, where she graduated at the top of her class.
Prior to Converge Partners, Simmi served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development at Revolution Health. Founded by AOL creator Steve Case, Revolution Health was transacted to Everyday Health and remains one of the leading consumer health and wellness plays on the web.
Prior to that, Simmi spent several years as Vice President and National Practice Leader of Healthcare at Fortune 500 leader Cognizant - one of the world's leading high growth information technology companies.
Prior to Cognizant, Simmi created and ran the global health and insurance business at SeraNova and she also served as an officer at CNA Financial, where she was senior advisor to a $4 billion sector of the company.
