Simmi Singh is an internationally recognized thought leader on globalization and consumerism and ways in which these mega-trends are changing the face of healthcare. She is currently head of healthcare services at Egon Zehnder International's Chicago office (www.egonzehnder.com/us), where she specializes in human capital, retained executive search and Board work across the globe in the health, consumer and private equity sectors. Most recently, she served as Managing Director for Converge Partners, LLC - a privately held New York-based investment and advisory firm. In this role, she worked with investors and entrepreneurs in the healthcare, global outsourcing and bio-fuels sectors to achieve their growth objectives through a customized combination of capital, strategy, transaction advice and business building capabilities.

Simmi has spent the last twenty years creating, growing, leading and managing a variety of business units across the health industry and IT services sectors. In addition to successfully building and leading profitable, multi-million dollar business units on the revenue and P&L management fronts, Simmi has a passion and gift for corporate evangelism and brand enhancement - a skill she has leveraged throughout her career to boost the market competitiveness and brand image of her clients and employers.

Prior to Converge Partners, Simmi served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development at Revolution Health. Founded by AOL creator Steve Case, Revolution Health is currently one of the leading consumer health and wellness plays on the web.

Prior to that, Simmi spent several years as Vice President and National Practice Leader of Healthcare at S&P 500 leader Cognizant - one of the world's leading high growth information technology companies.

Prior to Cognizant, Simmi created and ran the global healthcare and life-sciences business at SeraNova and she also served as an officer at CNA Financial, where she was senior advisor to a $4 billion sector of the company.

Earlier in her career, she held leadership and management consulting roles at the global consulting firms of Booz Allen & Hamilton and Ernst & Young, LLP.

Her areas of expertise include the design, development and launch of new companies, products and services, marketing and brand transformation, performance optimization and business turnarounds and acquisitions – in addition to IT strategy, design and governance.

Simmi is a current and former member of several leading industry Boards of Directors, including Director on the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society Board (2000-2002), Director and Chair of the former Center for Health Information Management Board (1996-2000) and the Consumer Health World Advisory Board (2004-Present). She is also a sought-after contributor to national industry events and frequently featured in the trade press.

Her speaking engagements have included talks at such forums as the Business Week-Lawson Software CIO Summits, the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, Consumer Health World, the National Conference of State Legislatures and various State Medical Societies.

Her contributions to the trade press have been featured in the Journal of Healthcare Information Management, Advance for Healthcare Information Executives, CIO magazine, Health Management Technology, Health Data Management, Modern Healthcare, Managed Healthcare Executive and the American Banking Association’s Trustee periodical, among others.

Simmi graduated with distinction with an MBA in Management Information-Decision Systems from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management and holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from St. Joseph's College, where she graduated at the top of her class.
